We recently visited the restaurant “San Paolo Naufrago” at a time when there was a lot going on in the city. Our order consisted of two pizzas and a lasagna, as the latter was highly praised in the reviews and is also highlighted on the menu. The pizzas were solid - we would give them 7 out of 10 each, so above average. Unfortunately the lasagna was a real failure. The pasta was unappetizing, the minced meat was tasteless, and the tomatoes appeared to have come from a can. There were only tiny amounts of carrots to be found and overall the dish was completely lacking in flavor. The biggest negative point: The lasagna was literally swimming in oil, which was unpleasant in the mouth as a real layer of oil formed. The ambience, however, was very nice, especially in combination with the stairs and the atmosphere of the surrounding area. Conclusion: You can stop by here for a pizza and a drink - the price-performance ratio is right. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the much-advertised lasagna.
