This weekend we had dinner at Bon Wei with a 240 euro voucher for 3 people that was given to me at Christmas. Even though I had booked 2 weeks before, they reserved a table for 2 for us, which was also close to a pillar. They had to bring us one or two dishes at a time because otherwise we didn't have the physical space to maneuver the chopsticks. An accommodation like this has happened to me a few times and only if I didn't have a reservation. Let's get to the food. I would have expected that for 80 euros each, they would offer us a noteworthy tasting menu and instead they brought the dishes from the à la carte menu, among the less expensive ones. Well prepared dishes, of course, but nothing more. Before leaving I added up the amounts of what they brought to the table and the figure, net of covers, did not come close to 170 euros. Since the owner didn't make any comments about it when leaving, I assume that the covers at Bon Wei cost 23 euros per person. Or, as I think it is, once they received the voucher money they saw fit to treat us with disdain and also give us a nice look. The overall opinion can only be negative.
