This compaiment is about allegedly (in my opinion) dishonest activities of “khaPatchuri” restaurant located at 107 Davit Aghmashenebeli Ave, Tbilisi 0112. Company ID number is 417897994. On June 17, 2022 I was provided with a menu that did not include VAT in prices. After serving me food, the restaurant staff provided me with a bill that included VAT, which means that I was required by the restaurant to pay + 18 % to the prices that were listed in the menu. It is worth noting that I’ve asked if the restaurant has any service fees or additional fees and the waiter said that it does not. I think that I was purposefully misinformed by this restaurant on the prices, because the menu should disclose the actual prices of food (price should include VAT). It is worth to note that the restaurant owner was hostile towards me and, if I recall it correctly, made some allegedly xenophobic retorts about other local businesses owned by Turkish citizens, suggesting that I should never come again to her restaurant and that I should eat food made by Turks (Honestly, no idea why she said that, it is as if she thought that it was something bad). The owner also said that it is up to her whether the restaurant should list VAT in the menu or not. I don’t know if the woman that spoke to me was that actual owner of the restaurant but she said that she was. In my honest opinion, such business practices are disgraceful. Please, investigate this situation.
