My partner and I stayed at Gasthaus Zum Bauernhof for one night while traveling through Switzerland, and it was one of the most comfortable and welcoming places we have ever stayed. From the personal welcome, to the incredibly calming room, to the sweeping views of the Alpsit was exactly what we needed for a night of relaxation and enjoyment. The guesthouse has been run by the same family since the 1850s, now on the eighth generation. We met several of the family members including Andi (the current host) and his mother, Marlis, who both were so warm and kind. We had a five course dinner on the patio, cooked by Andi and their team, paired with local beers they get from a tiny brewer in the village, and the service from Marc couldn’t have been better. And breakfast? The best eggs I’ve ever had, fresh from the hens running around out front and prepared perfectly by Marlis. We will be so happy to come back on our next trip through the area, and will recommend Zum Bauernhof to everyone. Thank you so much to the whole family!
