Toller Gastgeber , riesige Auswahl an Wein mit klasse Beratung . Das Menü hatte einige Highlights , diese himmlische Aubergine um nur eins zu nennen . Der Guide Michelin hatte mal wieder Recht . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €100+

Triptyque was a really enjoyable experience. What stood out most was not just the food, but the passion and pride from the whole team. Everyone seemed genuinely focused on creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, the kind where you feel looked after, but not like you accidentally walked into a ceremony for a very important carrot. The food was creative, thoughtful and made with local produce, with nice attention to how everything was prepared and presented. It felt like there was a real story behind the dishes, without becoming too stiff or theatrical. Always appreciated, because I like interesting food, but I do not need my dinner to have a LinkedIn profile. The drinks were also carefully chosen, whether local wines or non-alcoholic pairings. That extra care makes the whole experience feel complete, especially when the non-alcoholic options are treated seriously instead of being the usual sad parade of sparkling water and moral compromise. Overall, Triptyque delivers a warm, creative and well-considered dining experience. Relaxed, welcoming, local, passionate and clearly run by people who care about what they are doing. Triptyque – A Beautiful Dining Experience (with a Few Tips for First-Timers) Getting There & Atmosphere We cycled from Rijswijk station (~20 mins). The entrance through an old-style chateau wooden door sets the tone — inside, the atmosphere is beautifully minimalistic, which keeps your focus right where it belongs: the food. Service Staff were polite, pleasant, and attentive. Wine was topped up on time, as was water. The sommelier explained each wine pairing briefly but informatively — a nice touch. The Food & Wine We opted for the full Dutch wine pairing, which complemented the meal well. Highlights included: A cherry tomato dish — the gel made from tomato skin was a standout A salmon dish — incredibly soft, unlike anything we expected The full course is satisfying and filling, so pace yourself! First-Timer Tip – Know What's Included This is the most important thing to flag: not everything offered is part of the set menu price. The oysters with granita, dry white wine and Champagne options at the start, coffee/tea, and sweets at the end all came at additional cost. These were offered naturally during the meal, and it wasn't always clear upfront what was a paid extra. No regrets — but go in informed: ask the staff clearly what is and isn't included before you order. Overall A lovely evening with great food, good wine, and pleasant company — both ours and the staff's. Recommended, especially if it's your first Michelin-level experience.
