This is a lovely place to go out relax and have Tasty Indian Food. Order it as spicy as you want and they will do it for you. Good Hospitality, lovely Ambience.

Right, so I'm not a fan of (con) Fusion food. Generally. But a quick trip down the shops had me looking at this menu with a puzzled expression. Let me tell ya, my puzzled expression became a pretty happy one - significant others as well.

This little unassuming restaurant has this indo-chinese or Hakka style feel, some of it is straight Indian and then there is this Hakka twist. We settled on the Lamb Vindaloo (my fave meat curry), Gobi '65, and a killer Indian Scotch Egg thing. I cant even.

The egg: who thought to take a boiled egg, and then fry it in a light curried chickpea flour batter? Genius. Someone is going to say "thats a famous dish". Whatevs. Its amazing, ask for it.

The real midboggler was the Gobi '65. As a food tourist, I've eaten 50 odd countries and this was an unusual thing, lightly battered cauliflower in this indian type red batter. If you closed your eyes it was meat. When you opened them cauliflower. . . Wow.
The Vindaloo was meh, but we got the feeling that vegetarian was more their thing.

We had takeout and had heard mixed reviews, but this was a great eat that kept us guessing. Menu is large, people were happy to see us and we thought it worth another visit.

Tabla is nice Indian restaurant with good food and ambience. I have been there many times and loved all the snacks and main course there. I have also attended birthday parties at the place. It offers lunch buffet also at reasonable prices. Masala chips I loved there as starters along with dahi kabab and achaari paneer Tikka. Main course I loved daal makhni and Paneer Tikka Masala gravy with garlic naan. The place is reasonably priced and offers value for money. Go visit the same for an afternoon lunch or evening dinner.
