I went there with two friends on Monday evening and it was a great experience both on the culinary and oenological side, dining with two different Malbecs and appreciating their differences. We had dinner for the first time with Diego at his Roma 55 - Nembro just a few days ago. And I can guarantee it will be the first of many times. The overall concept is very interesting. The proposal is a single tasting menu which consists of 4 courses: 2 starters, a main course and dessert. The food is truly extraordinary: forget the idea argentina = steaks and asado and prepare yourself for a respectable gourmet experience. The starters are many, light, vegetable-based and refined. Then came the empanada. And then the main meat dish: a wood-smoked picanha and a cotechino on hickory sauce. The dessert and honey rum were a fitting finale. A word must be dedicated to the proposal of wines made by the chef, both Argentinians, both excellent: a slightly lively white reminiscent of a Chardonnay and a very good Malbec. The location is a shabby chic reinterpretation of a mechanical workshop. Simple, elegant, welcoming, very contemporary. It's like being in Tribeca. A real surprise given the geographical location. Diego is present without intrusiveness. And his courtesy was incredible even though we showed up with two people less than the reservation. Absolutely advantageous value for money. Try it.
