We had fish and chips here. Perhaps a bit too much salt on the chips. Otherwise perfect. Wonderfully light batter on the cod, very nice (but rather small) salad on the side. They're more expensive than Simonis in Scheveningen, but the quality in cooking is incomparable. Well worth the extra ten euros. And had I mentioned they have very friendly and attentive staff here? They do! So when you're in Rotterdam, give Zed a try. You won't regret it, especially when you go for the cod and chips. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Tonight we had dinner with the girls in the new Zuidplein theater. Restaurant Zed Covid-19-proof furnishings. Staff very friendly. Chosen for the Shared Dining. Didn't have to wait long for our order. What a nice concept. Different dishes that the three of us could share. Very nice idea. Dessert and coffee afterwards. Another successful evening away from the hustle and bustle. The new Zuidplein theater looks fantastic. Both the outside and the inside. Nicely grand design. Certainly progress for South Rotterdam. Inside interior with a touch of nostalgia for the old Zuidplein theater.
