I was visiting Deventer and had dinner at ReFine on the 2/7/2026. The restaurant is located in a beautiful street with an umbrella canopy, between the main square and large church in Deventer. The restaurant itself is quite small with about 10 tables in the main dining room and a nice outdoor area in the back with a view of a 'secret' church. I went by myself and had the chef's special 3-course menu which changes every week. The staff were super friendly and Chef Elroy served the food personally and explained the dishes he had prepared really clearly. The food was all delicious and tasted really fresh, with a pork starter, a guinea fowl main and a desert with pineapple, dutch cake, a dragon fruit foam and strawberry sorbet (if i remember correctly). There was also a great selection of local beers to try. There were a few other tables filled in the restaurant when I arrived but service was really fast. Finally, the prices are really reasonable for the quality of food that was served. If you want the best experience, I highly recommend the Chef's menu as a great way to try a bunch of new things and interesting flavours. Overall, if you're in Deventer and looking for good food - I highly recommend visiting ReFine. Everything was exceptional and I will definitely go back next time I'm in Deventer. The food was delicious and it is fairly priced. We took the chef 3 course surprise menu. 2 regular menus and 1 vegetarian. Service was friendly as well. We will certainly try again. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
