While in Salzburg last Monday we stopped by to buy a bottle of Bordeaux. The selection of wine in this gem was over the top. We ended up buying a bottle of Saint Estephe, one from Chateau de Pez. It was wonderful. The next day around 5:00pm we realized that the next day was May Day and our wine store was going to close and we were almost an hour away. We called and were asked to call right before 6:00 if we were close. We called and actually walked in about 2 minutes before they were to close. So another bottle of excellent wine was in our hands for the next couple of days. A big thanks to the ladies that work so hard to please their customers. You will always be remembered. PS...the Poppyseed shot was pretty good. Look forward to shopping with you again when in Salzburg. Your wine selection is some of the best we have seen. Thanks. Highly recommend this beautiful shop. Prices are reasonable for the quality they offer.

Perfect for buying gifts from Austria. Ladies who work there are very nice and always ready to suggest you stuff. Prices vary, I would say they are on higher side, though. Worth checking out - especially their chocolate!

My Aunt just returned from her trip and this place was one of the first things that she mentioned. She said that it was a locally owned business which has been opened for 360 years. The current owners are the fourth generation of establishments family. She also said that the young woman, who was one of the owners, helped her look around while providing and abundance of history and knowledge. This place comes highly recommended if you are interested in purchasing a piece of history during your visit in Salzburg, Austria. My Aunt loves and will cherish her rochelt rote williams birne schnapps in a fine bottle made by Swarovski crystal.
