Wirklich eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre, sehr gut besucht, freundlich, fast immer für einen da. Das Essen war sehr lecker, heiß und reichlich. Sehr viel Auswahl an gute Weine. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Danke

On 22/10/2023, we were a table of eight celebrating a birthday at Pomodoro. Two of us ordered kingklip. It was atrocious. Complained to owner in writing. He promised to prepare us kingklip again. I wrote and asked for a date. Never heard from him again. Even spoke to his son. Ignored again.
Too many mediocre meals eaten there, but those kingklip meals were the final straw.

I suggest that you rather go to Dolce Cafe in Craighall instead of Pomodoro Ristorante in Morningside. The service is really not good and the waiters do not listen. I ordered the Florentino T-bone that is supposed to come cut up in slices with the bone on the plate. The slices are supposed to be placed around the bone. I asked about this and the waiter was clueless and I was told if I want them to cut it that they will. It is a style so it is supposed to come like that. I said slice it so it never came sliced as requested. I then complained and they wanted to take it back to slice. That is not professional at all once served. My friend had the veal with mushrooms and his was swamped in sauce. My steak was tasteless so it was returned and I had the veal to it was a lot nicer than my friends dish. It was my b.day I had given them my name in the booking, a waiter came to us and asked my name in an unprofessional manner like he was drunk after they were told what my name was already. I told them not to bother so they came with a ball of chocolate mousse that looked terrible. We were really not impressed overall. Total let down... we never tipped.
