Point De Vue: uncertain view of the future July 21, 2024, a changeable summer day. We arrived at the brasserie at 6:30 PM and immediately noticed something: there was no cat outside. However, we were kindly received by the staff and then shown to our table. We couldn't miss the empty tables inside either, but we'll give it the benefit of the doubt. The waiter immediately came to take the drinks and the first tensions started to show. The waiter seemed rude and impatient, and when I ordered a Pepsi he looked at me strangely. The delicious white wines were also lukewarm when they were delivered. So not a good start. However, when the food was taken, another waiter was present, who seemed very friendly. Normally only 4 dishes can be ordered per table, but he made an exception especially for us: 6 dishes (!). When the meals were delivered all hell broke loose. Someone in our party ordered a pasta diabolique, which was not without consequences. The pasta contained: fries, carrots, peas and even Brussels sprouts (!). In short, everything that a pasta diabolique is NOT. However, there were plenty of scampi in the pasta, which made the experience a little better. Mussels were also not completely appreciated. They were generally very small in size and sporadically even empty. The rest of them were fine. In addition, some portions of stew were also ordered. Overall very tasty, both the meat and the salad, but the problem occurred elsewhere. The amount of fries was far below expectations, and the jars were exactly from McDonalds. Finally, another individual asked for a salad with goat cheese, asking if extra bacon could be added. After saying these words the waiter became very defensive and said that all dishes are already prepared in advance. Choked in his own words. However, there were also many positive things to mention: the staff was very efficient and professional, the cutlery and glassware were clean and the toilets were in good condition. The future of Point De Vue, on the other hand, seems unclear. Due to the combination of rising prices and a decreasing supply to consumers, the brasserie will have to innovate to stay above water.
