We chose Citrico at the W hotel for my husband's birthday celebration and our final evening in Rome because we wanted a rooftop restaurant where our children could be fully included in the experience. We were a little apprehensive about whether they would fit the vibe (our youngest is nine) and atmosphere, but from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The sunset views, atmosphere, pizzas, starters, and cocktails were all fantastic, but what really made the evening special was the exceptional service. When our son couldn't decide on a mocktail, Lorenzo took him to the bar and gave him his own cocktail-making experience, helping him create a bespoke drink especially for him. It was such a thoughtful touch and one he and I won't forget. A special thank you to Lorenzo and Alessio, who went above and beyond to make both our children feel welcome and helped make my husband's birthday celebration so memorable by singing to him in Italian. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful evening. We couldn't have asked for a more heart warming evening and cannot wait to return. Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

On the roof top of the W Rome this restaurant offers great views. As a guest at the hotel we initially asked the hostess at Giano where the restaurant was located. The hostess proceeded to noticeably take in my guest’s appearance and asked if we had a reservation, we did not, so she proceeded to call upstairs to confirm. While we were waiting for her, I went online to make an online reservation for which it showed immediate availability. I booked the reservation which was scheduled for 8pm. The hostess returned to say there was no immediate availability and the wait time would be 1 hour. I explained that I had just made the reservation online, she asked what name was the reservation made under. After I gave her my name and showed her the confirmation text. She seemed conflicted but then showed me the way to the elevator. Once we were upstairs we could obviously see there were at least 6 open tables 4 of which stayed empty throughout our entire dinner. Not sure what the initial hesitation was but that was off putting. The service once we got upstairs was amazing. The food was great, we enjoyed flavorful pizza and fruity cocktails. The wait staff was amazing and allowed us to customize based on our flavor preference. I think the second part of this experience improved on the entire outcome. Price per person: €60–70 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
