Leckeres Essen, frisch gekocht, auch Kleinigkeiten aus der Küche war nett und lecker, sehr nette Bedienung. sehr fein und köstlich Beste Alternativ war für Pasta bestellen, von 2 Größen 90/150gr entscheiden. Wir habe side dish bestellt aber hat uns nicht gefallen, Sie haben das nicht mitgerechnet. empfehlenswert

Sehr sehr teures, normales Essen. Es gibt bessere und vor allem günstigere Alternativen. Tip: nicht die Milanese nehmen. Halb durch, nicht sehr groß und verdammt teuer.

Our dining experience at Maccheroni - La Carbonara N°1 di Milano was a mixed bag. Despite the availability of several free tables, we were unfortunately seated next to the bathroom, which was less than ideal. The food was decent, but it didn’t live up to our expectations of the so-called number one Carbonara in Milano. Meat balls were tasy and also some stewed beef. The Tiramisu, in particular, was disappointing and, in my opinion, not worth trying. The ambiance left much to be desired due to the low lighting, although the music was a redeeming factor. While I appreciate the learning curve for new servers, the number of mistakes made during our service was noticeable. Instances of dropped utensils in our food and forgotten drinks were a few of the mishaps we encountered. In conclusion, while Maccheroni - La Carbonara N°1 di Milano has potential, there are several areas that could use improvement to truly make it a top dining destination in Milano. Hi Lorant Thank you for choosing us, we appreciate it! Yours is a personal opinion which we respect but do not share, just like the thousands of people who come to eat with us do not share it!!! Our staff is very helpful with customers so if the table assigned was not to your liking you could ask to change it. I am sure my guys would have found a solution. When you talk about ‘food not living up to expectations’ I disagree. I would like to explain to you and our future customers what we are talking about. Just to be clear, our carbonara is made following the traditional recipe with the best ingredients on the market: For the eggs, we only use the yolks of free-range hens that are free to roam in peace (not like those used by other locals and never see the light of day).
 The rigatoni (cooked al dente!!) that we chose are from the Mancini agricultural pasta factory, which makes them with only wheat from its own production, 100% Italian.
 The Pecorino Romano DOP cheese Deroma, Caseificio Casearea Agri In, is the only one produced in the province of Rome and awarded as the best pecorino by Gambero Rosso. 
 The guanciale is thickly cut and freshly cooked (unlike that which you find cooked in the morning in strips, hard, dry and often badly cleaned) precisely to give an explosion of flavour in the mouth, as Roman grandmothers used to do on Sundays at home! Our Polpette al Sugo are homemade with high quality meat, baked first and then dipped in an irresistible sauce of San Marzano DOP tomatoes. The tiramisu is made following the family's secret recipe. Having said that when you say the food was disappointing, I disagree. The restaurants you are evidently used to sell junk food and pass it off to you as quality ingredients. 

I would add at the end that the lighting you describe as ‘poor’ serves to create atmosphere, just like the background music. We apologise if there were any oversights regarding drinks, I will make sure of that. However, we are pleased that you enjoyed our carbonara. We salute you and wish you a good day!
