This place is designed without thinking for customer’s safety. There are candles all over the place and my girlfriend’s hair caught on fire from the next table’s candle since it’s a tight space between the tables! When I put out the fire on her hair, the waitresses just looked and were angry that this happened and acted rude afterwards. I am sure this will happen again to another customer if their space is tight and all the candles are lighted. Whether it was our fault that we caught on fire or not, you don’t have to act mean if someone is burning in your restaurant, you should help! Beste Aidin, Dank u voor uw bericht. Het spijt ons te horen dat uw bezoek werd overschaduwd door een vervelende situatie. Wij begrijpen dat dit voor u en uw vriendin erg onaangenaam en schrikken moet zijn geweest. Wij betreuren het voorval met de kaarsen. Tegelijkertijd willen wij aangeven dat wij niet eerder een vergelijkbaar incident hebben meegemaakt. Desondanks zullen wij bekijken of er mogelijkheden zijn om de situatie rondom de kaarsen verder te verbeteren en waar mogelijk nog veiliger te maken. Daarnaast vinden wij het jammer om te lezen dat u onze reactie op dat moment als onvriendelijk heeft ervaren. Dat is niet de ervaring die wij onze gasten willen bieden. Wij zullen uw feedback intern bespreken met het betrokken personeel, zodat hier de juiste aandacht aan wordt besteed. Dank dat u de tijd heeft genomen om uw ervaring met ons te delen. Absolutely adored this place. I went here for a birthday and boy did they deliver. First and foremost, this is all because of the attentiveness of the staff. They were all super nice and catered to our every need. I must say tho, this does not seem like a place to go when you're looking for a vegetarian option. Not because I want to say that those options are bad here but more to say that they know ball when it comes to meat. We had steak tartare as starters (pretty decent) and for main we had duck and chicken aka demi-poullet et canard. If you don't like the French kitchen, just don't go here with the idea that you'll choose something easy like spareribs: you will eat like a Frenchie no more no less. Some creme brule and mousse au chocolat as a desert and after only noting once when we were getting seated, about an hour later the birthday must've relayed to the kitchen and rest of the staff because they brought out some congratulations and fireworks. Some people hate that, I liked the simple but nice way they did this. After our belly was filled up just right, the staff helped us to switch to an outside table for an after dinner drink even though it was a living hell outside because we went on koningsnacht. Again, props to the staff and thanks for the care, probably not my last time at Le French Café Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
