Delicious, made-in-house cuisine...using ingredients grown less than 1 mile... professional, welcoming service...charming atmosphere...located in a picturesque village...family owned and operated...Eat here and you may ask yourself, "Am I dreaming?" But it is no dream. Domus Mea is the reality of the Angeloantonio-Burini family who, years ago, restructured a dilapidated building in the historic center of Ruviano. It is here, every Saturday and Sunday, you will find evidence of this family's commitment to sharing the rewards of their labors. Saturday evening is "Pizza in Giro", when diners sit at table either indoors in a variety of comfortable rooms or outdoors in the romantically-lit courtyard. You will have several varieties of their oven-fired pizza brought to your table, giving you opportunity to enjoy all the flavors. Often, during the summer months, live music is played in the courtyard as well. Chat with your neighbors, walk around a bit, sway with the music if you want...and return to your table to sample the next pizza they've brought to you! All this at (in my opinion) a bargain price. Sundays are a price-fixe menu and while I have not experienced that myself, I have held a private event for 20 people at Domus Mea, and also I have attended a first communion party there. The attention given to my private event was nothing short of top-drawer professional. Communication with the owner was easy (Daniela speaks English) and all I had to do was show up that evening. Everything was taken care of from brindisi to caffè...and at HALF the price I would expect to pay for the same, if I could find anything like it, in a big city. On the occasion of the first communion party, there were 2 separate private events happening, simultaneously...yet the same seamless service and quality food was provided. How they do it is nothing short of magic. Photos of that event are attached. So there you have it...Domus Mea, a jewel in the crown of Ruviano.
