Good food, average cost. The place is ok, nothing special. The service was strange, the owner immediately clarified that they had everything booked and needed the table in 1 hour. For us there were no problems but the taking of the order and the arrival of the food was not as fast as we expected. There is a small corner for children to play at the entrance and a beautiful terrace which we were unable to use due to the bad weather. Eetcafé De Bonte Haas is located at a very nice location on the water with a beautiful terrace. You can easily park there. We ate there with four people. And actually all four of us weren't super excited. The dishes (steak, shrimps) are served quite basic. There are no vegetables. Only fries. I would rather have rice with the shrimp. We asked if we could replace the standard fries with sweet potato fries (for an extra charge, of course). But this was not possible. We could only add it extra for 8.50. So then you have the standard fries and the sweet potato fries. A bit crazy, but in the end it was nice, because the shrimps were not very filling. Certainly for this price it could have been a bit more. The food is fine but a bit boring. Service seemed very young and not very experienced. Certainly not bad, but not great either. Toilets I found a bit dingy and old. I don't think we will come back for dinner. But perhaps we would have had more success with lunch. Anyway, it's not about the location.
