Sehr gute Steaks aber die Besitzer sind überfordert wenn man 2tische zusammen stellen will.

Sehr enttäuschend, nachdem wir vor 2 Jahren dort ein tolles Esserlebnis hatten. Das Fleisch ist fast doppelt so teuer geworden und es war mehr Fett als Fleisch daran. Wir haben für ein Tomahawk über 200 Euro bezahlt. Bei dem Preis dürfte man davon ausgehen, dass das Gedeck wenigstens nicht berechnet wird, was aber auch nochmals 6 Euro kostete. Ein Glas Weisswein für 7 Euro wurde nicht mal auf 1dl gefüllt. Anscheinend müssen die Inhaber die schwere Coronazeit auf die Gäste abwälzen. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin, schade diese Entwicklung!

We had wanted to come to dinner at Mosto & Carnazza for a long time... and what can I say, the expectations were very high. We finally managed to organize an evening for 4 and the occasion could only be a special one; My birthday: never was a more appropriate choice. First of all I have to thank Katia, the owner together with Chef Andrea, who was very available to fulfill all my requests regarding the choice of cut of meat, wine and dessert (I had their pastry chef prepare a space cheesecake). Having said this, here's how the experience went: The restaurant is located just outside the city walls, however it is very central and easily accessible. We had no problem finding parking in the area. We arrive at the place and what can I say, it looks great. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from the tables, to the furniture... up to the imperious cold rooms containing many cuts of maturing meat (Dry aging). A show! We began the experience with an appetizer based on Swedish Wagyu bresaola (it melted in your mouth) and key. The house serves excellent homemade breadsticks with butter... out of this world. To accompany it we had some house Spritz and a mango gin and tonic (chosen from their long list of Gins to pair with tonic water)... being a mango lover I couldn't help but choose it and... wow, delicious. As the main course we had Andrea prepare a Black Angus America Tomahawk weighing approximately 2.5 KG (for 4). Although the meat was very high, the cooking turned out to be perfect... it literally melted in your mouth. In the end all we had to do was stick to the bone and finish the job. The meat was excellently accompanied by baked potatoes, pumpkin and aubergines. The must chosen for the banquet was a Chianti Classico Riserva Borro (organic) from 2019, which proved to be spot on. As written previously, to conclude, I had ordered a cooked berry cheesecake... which turned out to be very good. To accompany it, we were recommended a sweet wine by the glass, Recioto della Valpolicella, which turned out to be very pleasant. I apologize for going on, but what's right is right. I still want to thank Katia for the organization and for accompanying us during the evening, Andrea for the sublime meat, the pastry chef (who among other things from what I know is the owners' son) and Agnese, for the impeccable management of the room. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. The bill is commensurate with the quality of the culinary experience and the raw materials chosen. It is certainly an address for many but not for all (for a purely economic reason), BUT it is highly addictive, to the point that between 03.12.2023 and 11.01.2024, in less than a month and a half we have already been 3 times:- ).
