Evening with friends at the port of Varazze. Beautiful location and friendly and helpful staff but the dishes we ordered did not live up to our expectations. In the dish of the day (lemon linguine with basil crumble and squid pin) the calamari was rubbery and not very tasty, resulting in a pasta that tasted only of basil and lemon. In the risotto (Carnaroli “nuvola” risotto with lime, giant cicada with passion fruit, coconut and parsley lagoon, chopped pistachios) the passion fruit totally covered the taste of the cicada. Overall these two dishes didn't taste like fish in the slightest. The linguine with clams, however, is good. Too bad because our expectations were high.

Very nice place in Marina di Varazze. Quiet and also elegant in context. Excellent food with generous portions which doesn't hurt. Polite, friendly staff but sometimes a little distracted. Holder always on point. Absolutely worth trying. Compliments to the chef.
