Walked in here on a whim, but what I found was much more important - these people care about the wellbeing of their customers. After a stressful train experience and walking in a downpour of rain, my friend and I walked into Bar Joly for two things: 1) a place to sit and 2) somewhere to get a signal. I immediately went to the counter to order a cornetto so we could use their facilities. Of course, the croissant was zesty, sugary and filled with marmalade. I loved it. We got to chatting with the bartender and a woman who turned out to be the bartender’s mother. She asked what we were doing in sorrento and explained to her that we were trying to find a taxi to our hotel but couldn’t get one. Immediately and without hesitation, she offered to take us. She ran to fetch the vehicle and we began chatting with her son and her father, who gave us some tips on what’s good around the coast. We very much appreciate this group and will be back for drinks on our trip here! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was in Sant’Agnello for 4 days and got coffee each morning here. The most rude employees I met in my entire trip the last morning I got coffee. I walked in and said hello absolutely received no response ordered a coffee to go, and the employee was speaking to me in Italian I think possibly another language I thought he asked me if I wanted it to go and he said “cover” and then proceeded to curse me out. Had I not been next to a police station, would have given him my opinion of his horrible attitude. Nearly all employees here are so rude. I am a patron, learn to be respectful. I would never recommend a non Italian citizen patronizing this establishment.
