If you want to experience espresso the way Romans do, don't miss Bar Asti in the San Giovanni neighborhood. This unassuming little café serves, in my opinion, the best espresso in all of Rome. The aroma hits you before the first sip, the crema is rich and silky, the temperature is just right, and the flavor is perfectly balanced with an incredibly smooth finish. It's the kind of espresso that reminds you why Italy is famous for coffee. No gimmicks, no tourist hype, just consistently perfect espresso, served the way it should be. I found myself coming back again and again, and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves great coffee. Price per person: €1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
