Waren als Reisegruppe hier Abendessen. Zuerst tranken wir ein kleines Bier der Marke Viking. Das waren kleine Flaschen. Eine erneute Bestellung ergab Viking sei alle und der Kellner empfahl ein weiteres Bier. Wieder eine kleine Flasche. Nachdem die zweite Sorte Bier verteilt worden ist, holten die Kellner neue Flaschen der Sorte Viking aus einer Ecke und füllten wieder auf. Jede Flasche kostete 1.500 isländische Kronen, also etwas über 10 Euro. Nur eben das Problem, dass die zweite Sorte über einem Monat abgelaufen war. Wir waren Anfang September 22 dort und das Ablaufdatum war Anfang August 22. So mit Touristen umzugehen ist eine Schweinerei. Somit kann das Restaurant "Flame" nicht zu empfehlen.

Hallo Andreas, we are really sorry to hear that. We only sell bottle beer in the restaurant, and 0.33l is standard quantity in Iceland. Alcohol tax is higher, we knew many travelers agreed Iceland is one of most expensive country. And we did put drink list on the table with price . When first type of beer is finished, we bring the new type to your guest and ask if they want to change, we served only after get confirmation from guest. We are terrible sorry about serving the beer expired one month ago. The lady server didn’t check the date of drink in the cooler. We already immediately replaced in our cooler. And make sure it will never happen again. Hope you and your group enjoy your staying in Iceland- Flame team

We had an incredible experience at the Flame restaurant! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the skilled chefs put on an entertaining show as they prepared our delicious meals right in front of us. The food was not only mouthwatering but also beautifully presented. From the sizzling lobster to the perfectly cooked filet of Kobe beef, every dish was a culinary delight. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was exceptional. I can't wait to return to this fantastic restaurant for another unforgettable evening of teppanyaki dining! Had the sushi brunch here, two of us. We could not eat the food, nor could many of the people around us. When we entered another older couple was arguing with the owner (I think) about the food being inedible, we should have left then. Food was some of the worst I have ever had in a restaurant anywhere in the world. Expensive, poor service, and truly bad food. I contacted the restaurant to ask for a refund, but they do not respond. Deeply, truly, terrible. Avoid at all costs.
